Corporate Robotics Team Building
Corporate Robotics Team Building for BD was right up their alley. BD is used to helping people live healthy lives, and some of the engineers behind these medical products tackled our Robot Team Building event in Washington DC. The engineers were no stranger to robots as many of them designed and used robots in their daily jobs.
The engineers at BD added design features we have yet to see duplicated. One of these adaptations including wiring additional battery packs together “in series” to create a higher voltage; it was the fastest we have ever seen these Robots go! I am confident BD engineers make remarkable products based on what we saw in this event. Corporate Robotics Team Building was a huge hit with engineers at BD and B&D (Black and Decker), both companies famous for innovation and engineering! Black and Decker also competed in the Corporate Robotics Team Building competitions one week prior to BD. Both companies had engineers representing different regions globally and different divisions internally. The competition was intense!
One comment we heard often was how unique and fun the event was for engineers. They often struggle with team building because it is either too easy or too silly. The robot building competition challenged the engineers in fun ways that suited their skill set, and it was a serious competition which engaged them to the fullest. We modified the program which let them make adaptations based on their prior knowledge and try to outsmart each other. However, if your robot did not work it was an immediate disqualification.
Robotics Team Building produces the best results when it is delivered in a professional format with high end components, and engaging competitions. Lucky for us BD and B&D both sent their best up against the TeamWorx Robotics Team Building event and came away wanting more!
