Sacramento Corporate Team Building
Big-Group Team Building in California’s Capital
Robots, drones, giant murals and crime-solving, delivered right inside your Sacramento hotel ballroom or conference center. From 20 people to 800, TeamWorx brings the whole event to you, with hometown pricing for Sacramento-area groups.
Why Sacramento Teams Choose TeamWorx
Built for big groups
Our programs scale from 5 teams to 80. Everyone builds, competes and cheers in the same room at the same time, so no one sits on the sidelines.
Hometown pricing
Sacramento is home turf for TeamWorx. That means no out-of-town travel costs for your event, just great programs at local rates.
We come to you
Every event runs in the meeting space you’ve already booked. Give us round tables and a little floor space, and we handle setup, facilitation, scoring, awards and cleanup.
Conference-sized energy, without the logistics headache
Sacramento hosts some of California’s largest association, government and corporate gatherings, and a general-session crowd needs an activity that can actually hold that many people. TeamWorx has spent more than 20 years running high-energy programs for groups of hundreds, including Robot Build & Battle events of 400 or more, all in a single ballroom.
Opening-night icebreaker, mid-conference energizer or closing-day celebration, we’ll design the room layout, team sizes and timing around your agenda.

Mural Blocks on the R Street Corridor
Take your team outside and into the city’s street art. Teams track down a featured mural along the R Street Corridor, then work fast to rotate 20 custom wooden blocks until they recreate a piece of the artwork standing in front of them. Snap a whole-team photo with the finished puzzle and the real mural for bonus points, then move on to the next one. The goal is to complete all six sides.
R Street is walkable, shaded and packed with restaurants, coffee shops and bars, so it pairs perfectly with a team lunch, dinner or happy hour before or after.
Our Sacramento Team Building Events
Every program below runs onsite at your Sacramento venue.
Robot Build & Battle
Teams of 5 to 6 race to assemble a combat robot, then send it into the arena for multiple rounds of battle. Our most popular event, for 10 to 300 people.
Robot Build & Battle 2
Bigger robots, bigger teams, bigger hits. Teams of 8 to 10 build a heavy-duty battle bot together. Ideal for 20 to 500 people.
Robot Racing
Teams innovate, build and negotiate for parts, then race their custom robots in a fast, loud, crowd-pleasing competition.
Drone Games (new)
Teams build and fly their own drones through piloting challenges. For groups of 100 or more, the drones are donated to local STEM programs.
Paint a Giant Team Mural
Small groups paint individual canvases that come together into one giant piece of art, and a keepsake for the office wall.
Who Stole Anti-Matter?
A tech-themed mystery. Teams examine real evidence, interrogate suspects and present their case to save the planet.
CSR & STEM Charity
Build something that gives back. Teams complete hands-on challenges that benefit local schools, students and nonprofits.
Food Donation Golf
A playful, team-based golf challenge that ends with food donated to people in need.
Sacramento venues we know well
TeamWorx has delivered events at Sacramento’s leading meeting venues. We know the rooms, the load-ins and the staff, which makes planning easy for you.
SAFE Credit Union Convention Center
Downtown’s flagship venue, with more than 240,000 square feet of flexible space. A natural fit for convention-scale Robot Build & Battle.
Hyatt Regency Sacramento
Across from the Capitol and next to the convention center, with a ballroom that hosts receptions of about 1,400. Built for large general-session team building.
Sheraton Grand Sacramento
A few blocks from the convention center with 16 event rooms, and a longtime favorite for association, government and corporate groups.
McClellan Conference Center
A dedicated conference facility north of downtown, sized for substantial meetings, trainings and trade shows.
Kimpton Sawyer Hotel is next on our list. Its ballrooms, terraces and rooftop deck beside Golden 1 Center are a great match for tech off-sites and executive teams. Meeting somewhere else? We’ll come to your office, campus or venue anywhere in the greater Sacramento area.
“We want to thank you and the TeamWorx team again for your flexibility and providing an amazing experience yesterday! People are still talking about the mural blocks (and I think it sparked a couple of friendly rivalries). We look forward to working with you all for more events in the future.”
