Teamwork Training State Employees of Nevada
Teamwork Training State Employees is a unique teamwork training program designed to meet the needs of state employees. Much of teamwork training is geared around meeting the needs of business and corporate groups, with good reason. In most cases Teamwork Training State Employees yields less per person rates than equivalent teamwork training for business groups. Some of the teamwork skills are the same between the two groups, and many are different. The mindset for all aspects of an organization that is not led by profit is different. In many cases the goals of state agencies can be to promote awareness, lesson or eliminate harmful causes, insure safety, and other goals with similar “non-profit” centered objectives.
One misconception is that state governments do not pursue these goals with the same zeal as a company may pursue profit. Our experience is that many of these agencies have the same or a greater passion, and also limited and restrictive budgets and guidelines. Whereas in business the best solution, if they are able to discover or create it, can be obtained or executed. It may not be easy, and it may take time, but its possible with the right leadership and people. In state government, as with many levels of government, the best solution may not be possible to implement, even if they know specifically and exactly what it is and have the ability to do it.
These dilemmas create additional creative challenges for leaders in state government departments. They have to problem solve on a dimension we don’t necessarily encounter as frequently outside of government.
Teamwork training helped this key state organization identify the strengths of each individual on the team, and ways to most effectively communicate with each person. Onsite at their Carson City offices kept investment to a minimum and impact to a maximum. As with many state departments, we return each year to focus on specific current challenges, and explore creative possible solutions.
