High-Tech Team Building with Pandora Yields New World Record Build Time
High-tech team building with Pandora yielded a new world record build time of 39:54 eclipsing the previous record held by Nuix of 43:18. High-tech companies appreciate the TeamWorx robotics program as a challenging and fun competition. The first half of the program is all about teamwork, communication, execution, and leadership. The best team will build the robot faster and better. The second half adds a nice balance to the event as it is mostly all out fun and competition. People can put their thinking caps away for awhile and have fun with the robot they built together.
Pandora has over 20 Million Listeners, and just celebrated over over 5.5 Billion Spins. It claims over 153 thousand artists have been heard and people have voted with their thumbs over 295 Million times. It is no wonder they can sell advertising on the internet like few companies outside of Google, Facebook, and You Tube. On this day they were flexing their brain and teamwork power. Once they heard of the record and the companies that had already competed, including Facebook, Nuix, Cognizant, Zymergen, Intel, HP and others, I saw several trips to the coffee stand for an additional cup. Eyes were wide as I explained the rules and started the official timer.
Breaking the record is a truly admirable task as the average build time for teams from all companies is closer to 50 minutes, meaning many teams finish in up to an hour. Of the best companies in the world, each with multiple teams, it is only a select few that post a time under 45 minutes!
The second half of the program featured an all-at-once style robot battle tournament, 2 on 2 team battles, races around the entire room, and close races on a mini-track. Every person had multiple chances to win for their team, and there were so many winning teams in this half of the event we lost track. An incredible team building day with Pandora at the La Playa in Carmel. If your bay area team is planning an offsite I highly recommend the La Playa as a great Carmel destination for your team’s offsite meeting and/or adventure.
