Redwood City Robot Battles with Facebook
Redwood City Robot Battles with Facebook are always fantastic. Their motto of “Move Fast and Break Things” could also be a description of a battle robot, so they are deeply akin to each other. In addition Facebook employees seem to universally enjoy solving a puzzle or a challenge, and they have great communication with each other. They are often working on complex challenges that involve many people’s input, and at times involve many teams coordinating with each other, so building a robot is most likely right up their power zone.
This group of about 60 people was exceptional as well. 10 teams engaged in a Redwood City Robot Battles team building!
Team “Jumpy” posted a blazing time of 34:00 minutes to take the build competition, and Thanksbot beat out Spam Hammer 3.5 battles to 2.5 battles to take the Championship of a more than vigorous battle session. Team Inglorious Botstards came up with a victory as well, edging out team Keep it Spicer and Spiraliser.
We always ask how the event went to keep in touch with our clients expectations. Universally we get great feedback (and excellent suggestions) however this quote was perhaps the best one we have received in awhile so we had to share:
“I just wanted to say that my team had SO much fun yesterday! Their feedback was that this was their best offsite yet! One person even said it was better than watching an episode of Game of Thrones, lol! Thank you for creating this offsite for us! I will be sure to recommend to all my admin friends!!”
I think being “better than an episode of Game of Thrones” is currently the highest compliment someone can pay to an experience!
A huge thank you to this team from Facebook for an excellent afternoon of teamwork and an an exceptional battle session!
