The Corporate Escape Room World Record Progress
The Corporate Escape Room World Record progressed as Amazon, Facebook, Credit Suisse, and Cadence all took their turns at The Corporate Virtual Escape Room.
Facebook had the highest percentage of teams escaping, holding at 50% with 3 of 6 teams getting out of the room in 45 minutes or less. Team 5 and Team 2 both barely escaped with times of 42:40 (forty two minutes and forty seconds) and 44:10 respectively. They momentarily held the World Record with Team 3 coming in at 34:23, beating Coinbase’s previous World Record time of 35:50 by over a minute.
Cadence won the closest to the buzzer award with their final event of a three-day, 16 event, summer virtual picnic. Thursday evening the clock was at 42 minutes and Team 1 had just finished their third challenge – it wasn’t looking good. Luckily, the three challenges they completed, #1, #2, and #4 take the longest time. Still, with three minutes left I didn’t give them much of a chance. They were able to calm their minds in the presence of ticking time pressure and deliver down the stretch. They posted the correct 10-digit code at 44:55 – just 5 seconds before closing!
Credit Suisse started with one spectacular event with a local team here in the bay area, and has spread now globally. Credit Suisse hosted three events this week with the final one concluding this afternoon. I will update this blog if they set a world record. Overall, they have just under a 50% escape room rate with just a 1 team difference between Facebook for the percentage lead. Quickly becoming a favorite client, I am sure to be writing Credit Suisse into the record books soon!
The current World Record goes to Amazon, with “Team-3” (self-named because they had three people) defied the odds and posted a scorching fast time of 34:19 (thirty-four minutes and nineteen seconds)! Team 3 mentioned their nimbleness in reacting to change, and accepting ideas, and their raw talent, for their exceptional performance. We recommended they join another team since they only had 3 people, and I believe this “chip on their shoulder” propelled them to a higher performance level. Great job!
A huge thank you to Amazon, Facebook, Credit Suisse, and Cadence – we are so impressed with incredible displays of teamwork!
