Team Development Cycle

Step 1: Let folks have a chance to get to know each other better, talk about themselves, and refresh and update their relationships.

This Event Will:

• Fulfill a need folks have in a virtual work environment for normal interpersonal sharing
• Give folks the “psychological air” to move forward with team development. Until this is fulfilled, folks will be holding back to some degree.

Step 2: Boost morale with a shot of fun, fast paced, and competitive energy. The more teams shout out possible answers, the better they do, and the more they win.

This Event Will:

• Get people engaged and feeling good
• Get people saying their thoughts outloud
• Get teams working together effortlessly without even trying

Step 3: Team Problem Solving and Team Communication are required to navigate a successful exit from the Escape Room. The 50% success rate, and the World Record competition gives teams a metric to evaluate how good they really are.

This Event Will:

• Challenge Teams to solve complex, interactive, and collaborative puzzles
• Give teams metrics to evaluate how good they are against other teams
• Reward teams who have built a solid base

Step 4: Creating the Big Idea and Creating Solutions is a different skill than solving puzzle-like challenges with definite answers. Listening to others ideas and connecting ideas together become more important.

This Event Will:

• Teach how to get everyone’s viewpoint
• Teach how to connect ideas into one big idea
• Improve team communication and idea creation

Step 5: Building on Thematrix, Future Crime fosters out-of-the-box thinking as teams work within a future universe to solve a future crime! Accurate future speculation is one of the highest level team skills, and it is what separates visionary teams from others.

This Event will:

• Challenge teams to think into the future
• Challenge teams to connect the dots between points of evidence
• Foster creative team presentations about future narratives!

Step 6: The highest level of team idea creation and problem solving come together in this event. Recreating a narrative from evidence and facts, interrogating suspects, ruling out suspects, and building a case based on evidence call for optimum team performance.

This Event will:

• Challenge teams to operate at the highest levels
• Allow teams to immerse themselves as a crime fighting team
• Provide opportunities for differentiation based on performance
