IT professionals are always happy with our Robot Battles 2 team building event. 18 teams of 8 to 10 people each competed to build the robot faster than each other and for the World Record time kept on our website.
Precision Cast Parts is the market leader in manufacturing large, complex structural investment castings, airfoil castings, forged components, aerostructures and highly engineered, critical fasteners for aerospace applications. Needless to say, Precision Cast Parts employees know how to build things! Indeed all 18 bots were completed correctly and 17 of 18 bots made the Last Bot Standing finale. The best build time was turned in by Team 9 with a blazing fast time of 43:30 (forty three minutes and 30 seconds)! They look like a team filled with joy (pictured above) and I am sure that helped to “out-teamwork” 17 other teams!
The battles were outrageous fun as normally reserved professionals hooted and hollered for their battle robot to prosper through scoring, and avoid being flipped by other bots. Several teams won 1 round of battle combat which led to an exciting finale.
The Last Bot Standing finale determines the winning battle team. The winning team, theoretically will have a combination of building the best bot and battling the best throughout the scoring rounds. A team like this would have the best advantage for the final battle when all bots are distressed to some degree.
Our final winner was a complete surprise, as they were working with a highly compromised bot to begin the battle. Through incredible driving skill and a little luck they persevered and won the final 1-on-1 dual to secure the battle championship!
