Autodesk Engineering Senior Leadership Robot Team Event
Some impressive building times were turned in at a Engineering Senior Leadership Robot Team Event for Autodesk in San Rafael CA. Build times of 30 minutes and 40 seconds and and 34:49 by the “Wingman” Leadership Group at Autodesk put them 7 minutes over the World Record still held by Dropbox, but also safely within the top 5% of all participants. With average build times of 45 minutes sub-35 minute times are rare.
The competitions were all close however ultimately one sided. One team won every competition except the finale, even “Doubles Dice” which is mostly luck! Sometimes things really go your way, or winning momentum creates good luck? Either way it was a lot of fun and the competitions were exciting and came down to mere seconds between winning and non winning teams.
“Autodesk makes software for people who make things. If you’ve ever driven a high-performance car, admired a towering skyscraper, used a smartphone, or watched a great film, chances are you’ve experienced what millions of Autodesk customers are doing with (their) software.”
Unfortunately for me you must have a college degree specializing in Autodesk to use the software to build skyscrapers and complex machine processes. I was interested in making a team building program based on Autodesk software that would allow teams to make a machine that worked. I will have to check back in 3 to 5 years and see where I am at in my process.
A Senior Leadership Robot Team Event at your meeting will engage your brightest and inspire your visionaries in healthy and fun competition. Even if one team wins every competition everyone still has fun as proven here at Autodesk. I think the picture above says it all!
We look forward to more groups from Autodesk to compete in one of the two available robot team event formats including robot battle team events!
