Backpack Builders Team Building Chicago
By adding the Backpack Builders Team Building Chicago event, UHC did something different – something very different – in their monthly lunch meeting with constituents from several departments and divisions. Hosting the meeting at the Palmer House in Downtown Chicago was the first amazing thing they did. The venue is spectacular and centrally located – a perfect place for team building. We partnered with local Ronald McDonald houses to giveaway backpacks full of fun games, books, and mental teasers, – all items recommended by the staff at the Ronald McDonald houses as things kids would want and would help when they were staying at the house. People from different work areas had a chance to interact and get to know each other while competing in a series of fun team building activities.
Each table earned money by having success at team building games, and then shopped for items to fill their backpacks and make them ready to giveaway. Families and staff from the local Ronald McDonald houses attended the event at the end to receive the gifts and meet the wonderful people from UHC! Backpack Builders Team Building Chicago events work great when the client is paired with a charity organization tha tmatches their values. In this case UHC and Ronald McDonald house were a perfect match.
The history of Ronald McDonald House dates back to Chicago, as the first ever house was formed here. There are several Ronald McDonald Houses serving the greater Chicago area, and two int he downtown area alone. They provide much needed housing for families who have one or more children with severe health conditions such as cancer and other forms of childhood illness and disease. Often families come from far away to seek long term medical care for their children and housing can be the greatest cost and prohibitory factor to getting the healthcare the children need.
