Bicycle Building Team Building

Bicycle building team building has been a popular event since early 2003. Although less people are asking for bicycle building team building, the events are no less powerful and inspiring. Teams build a bicycle while also being challenged to accomplish a large variety of teamwork based skills challenges. The bicycles are usually prepared in such a way as to keep people from getting greasy and dirty, while also feeling the accomplishment of completing a bicycle. Knowing they are donating the bicycle to charity makes building it more rewarding and inspiring. The teams earn the right tools and instructions by solving mental or physical challenges as a team. Then they must earn all of the parts of the bicycle including the handlebars, front wheel, back wheel, crank and sprocket, seat and seat post and pedals.

Bicycle building team building is a powerful teamwork training program in advanced team problem solving. Daymon coupled the event with a speech from the President of the company, and a partnership with the local Boys and Girls Club for a perfect kick-off day to an international meeting hosted onsite at corporate HQ. We met some inspired young people who were chosen from dozens of applicants based on school attendance, grades, and participation at the club. Many companies appreciate when children attending the event are chosen based on performance and good habits like school attendance. Many peole who work in large organizations and make their way to the top also appreciate when they see these same attributes in young people.

Daymon has reproduced these events throughout the country to create a one company feel despite being located in all parts of the country. Another way they us ethe program is with their clients! It has proven to be an outstanding way to share a positive and inspiring experience with clients and grow the relationship. An inspiring trip to Stamford!
