School Makeover Charity Team Building with GSK in San Antonio
School Makeover charity team building event is our most dramatic – transforming a school in 2 hours or less. Fox Tech High School in San Antonio was a perfect example of a School Makeover Charity Team Building experience. GSK brought over 700 people ready to volunteer to anything needed to makeover Fox Tech High School. TeamWorx organized the large corporate group from GSK into over 100 different teams that each had a specific palace to go and a specific project to complete. Teams were provided custom tool kits with everything they needed for their project.
The GSK ethos was abundantly clear throughout the School Makeover Charity Team Building as the quality of the work was meticulous, and the esprit de corps was visible throughout the entire campus. We built garden beds and trellises, carved new paths and added siding to keep weeds out, built custom lounge benches for the library, painted every classroom and hallway in the entire school, and we painted the cafeteria! As a part of the School Makeover Charity Team Building we designed several creative projects throughout the school. Some included fixing old drawers and storage shelves so the doors worked again and closed smoothly, while others painted custom stencils on ceiling tiles and decorated the school from the top down.
At the end of the event the entire community came out and cheered on the victorious champions of school makeover!
Total time including roundtrip transportation from their hotel was 3 hours, the scope of their impact was hundreds of students, year after year, who now have a bright new school! A huge thank you to SAISD and Fox Tech for 110% support, and to GSK for their incredible generosity and pure passion in performance and incredible pride in their final product. Truly inspiring!
