Charity Team Building Chicago
Thank you to Grant Thornton for sponsoring a Charity Team Building Chicago event and giving away several backpacks to the local Boys and Girls Club in Elgin Illinois just outside of Chicago. Over 60% of Elgin’s population are below the poverty line so the much needed school supplies and backpacks were welcomed. 12 children from the Boys and Girls Club in Elgin were gracious enough to join us for lunch and receive their backpacks in person.
Senior leaders from Grant Thornton competed in teams to build the backpacks while accomplishing several difficult teamwork and leadership challenges. The TeamWorx Charity Team Building Chicago program they chose offered interactive team building kits, one per team, that allowed for a real time competition between leaders. They could choose which activities within the kits to attempt, and how many people from their team of 10 people to assign to any one challenge. Since the kits are the same for every team in the Charity Team Building Chicago event, the difference is truly leadership and teamwork!
Another successful Charity Team Building Chicago event for all involved topped off with an incredibly rewarding charity experience!
Team building events like the Charity Team Building Chicago event delivered within the structure of an overall meeting can ignite your meeting themes and achieve your outcomes in route to substantial ROI. The key is to align them with the values of your organization, and, more importantly, with your prospective audience. Sometimes every charity or worthy cause isn’t for every audience. In my own experience with working with the top levels of corporate America for over 20 years, attendees often want to see a charity that rewards performance or excellence from children who are also overcoming the challenges of their environment. For example a student attending college for the first time in their families history.
