Corporate Escape Room
A Corporate Escape Room event with Qualtrics North America saw them outdo their European counterparts just 1 day later by annihilating the previous World Record of 33:14 with a jaw-dropping New World Record Time of 29:41! (twenty-nine minutes and forty-one seconds)
“Marc’s Team 2” used familiarity, great teamwork, and shrewd strategy to move quickly through the five team challenges. Specifically, on Challenge 4 they worked both forwards and backwards on the puzzle, meeting in the middle way ahead of schedule. For Challenge 5 they had two computer scientists for whom logic is second nature, and for which they delve deeply into using logic daily. Figuring out a logic puzzle didn’t seem as hard as it does for other folks.
Overall Qualtrics was way above the curve with 6 out of 8 teams finishing before 45 minutes posting times of 34:12 (thirty four minutes and twelve seconds), 35:16, 35:34, 36:34, and 44:10. The second place time would have been a world record just last week. Even the teams that missed only had 1 challenge incorrect.
The previous record was held by the European Divisions of Qualtrics at 33:14, set by a team from Dublin, Ireland. They had just beat a record set by Cisco just 5 days previously. Before last week, Amazon had held the record since July 27th, over 75 days! The World Record has been broken three times in less than one week starting with Cisco last Friday, and continuing with Qualtrics today (Wednesday)!
Qualtrics offered The Corporate Virtual Escape Room as part of a weeklong QChella virtual experience. We scheduled times for all of our events that were convenient for European folks, and different times convenient for North American folks. The week kicked off with an In It to Win It tournament and Speed Teams events, then Who Stole Anti Matter, and Escape Room.
