Corporate Art Painting Event San Francisco
A Corporate Art Painting Event San Francisco featuring Cruise created a beautiful corporate image that included a perfect reproduction of their self driving car. It’s truly amazing what a group of over 100 people, most without any art experience can produce in 2 hours of enjoyable painting together.
Cruise has many types of employees including a large share of engineers. Cruise is solving an incredibly wide array of challenges. “From designing custom hardware platforms to writing highly optimized code running at low latencies, engineers from over 100 disciplines are doing the best work of their lives to reshape one of the world’s largest industries.” The energy in a company like this is understandably high, as visionaries meet some of the world’s greatest “maksionaries”; leading to the unthinkable – a self driving transportation service just like in Blade Runner.
Art, although sometimes seen in opposition to engineering at least when it comes to personality types, is however enjoyable to all types of people and is one of the best conversation enhancers of our time. The process of painting requires focus but does not demand perfection of singular resolution. Painters discuss painting; where to paint, and how it looks, different strokes, different viscosity applications, and other conversational topics. The tone and tenor are ideal to lead to other delightful conversation as was evidenced by the entire crew of Cruise employees numbering over 100 people.
In addition, and in parallel to great conversation, was a tangible achievement of immense collaboration and spectacular result, a mural spanning over 24 feet long and and over 6 feet high! Audible gasps and surprised expressions were heard and seen as the 24 unique canvases came together briefly to create an image much larger and much more detailed and accurate than they could of ever imagined. This murals final resting place will adorn their new corporate office, an enduring testament to the power of teamwork and the brilliance of this audience.
Thank you again to Cruise for inviting us along your journey of concept to art to lasting memories!
