Women of Harness Build Robot Fast and Perfect
People often ask if a build robot event is for everyone or only male engineers? W.O.H. (Women of Harness) provided another answer to that question with a thrilling build victory over 3 other teams infiltrated with some male engineers. Their time of 50:24 was impressive (fifty minutes and twenty four seconds) considering they only had 4 team members. The fastest all female and non-engineer team of all time was “Ladies who Launch” – a five member team from Rocketship Public Schools with a time of 35:29!

Their innovation and creativity was obvious in building robots with 4 quality robots going to battle for an extended time. Teams Rok-em-sok-em Robots, Terminators, W.O.H, and SsenraH all battled in melee combat and finished with 4 Lone Survivor rounds. In four rounds of melee combat SsenraH topped the field with 2 solid wins, followed by Terminators with one win and W.O.H and Rok splitting a round with a tie.
The Lone Survivor Rounds saw Terminators flex their survival instincts winning two rounds and having a tie in one round for a total of 2.5 points out of 4! Every team won or tied at least twice, so battling was fairly even.
