Netflix Build Battle Robot TeamBuilding
A Netflix Build Battle Robot TeamBuilding event on campus in Los Gatos CA was a huge success!
Fifteen teams competed to build the Robot Build and Battle 1 robot faster than each other and for the World Record. The build times were all impressive as teams of five people each use teamwork and competitiveness to complete the robot correctly and fast.
The winning team, pictured above, was the fastest team in at just under 45 minutes with several teams finishing within three minutes of each other. Great competition! The build quality was super high as the battles yielded several rounds of all-bots-in-the-arena battles!
For the battles we moved outside to concrete patio type area. It was mostly flat but also offered some texture change which added to the robot volatility and ultimately led to more flips. One great advantage of battling outside was that several people saw what we were doing and reached out to book their own events!
We saw no less than 12 different and unique attack arm designs, which is a big part of the Robot Build and Battle 1 event, is that it offers teams the ability to modify the robot for strategic advantage. Arms were changed to be straight, higher, lower, zig-zag, under cut, side cut, top cut, ramp, hooked, and short. Crazy creativity from a producer of creative things!
The battles were super engaging with folks yelling and screaming and hollering, and having an awesome time! Scoring was aggressive, and points were plenty,
