The Wynn Encore offers an amazing venue for elegant and peaceful meetings amidst the hustle of Las Vegas. Our Robot Battles team building took place in the Chopin Meeting Room in the Encore Convention area. The Chopin room includes a beautiful covered terrace, with ceiling fans and cool tile, blissfully located near a peaceful and cooling pool. The tile on the terrace was perfect for robots battling each other. The surface allowed for additional speed and quickness, and a slide to the robots which some battlers took advantage of to evade certain flipping.
We battled for several rounds with many different teams scoring the highest point value and winning one or more rounds of competition. Once everyone had one or more chances at the robot battling experience – we transitioned into a “last bot standing” finale. In this format, robots are eliminated if their balloons are popped or if they are flipped over. The last robot not eliminated is declared the winner. The same team (pictured above) won both the build competition and the finale “Last Bot Standing” battle competition.
They walked away with magnificent trophies selected and provided by our client – featuring three gears connected in a vertical format – perfect for Robot Battles! In addition, each person on the winning team received a gift card!
Arvato are champions of supply chain management for large well known Fortune 500 companies. They applied their skill to the building process with several teams finishing below the 45 minute average build time. The winning team finished in a time of 35:20 (thirty five minutes and 20 seconds) – placing them 63rd all time just ahead of a group from Google.
