San Jose Corporate Team Building with theTradeDesk
A San Jose Corporate Team Building event with theTradeDesk was a huge success. theTradeDesk is transforming media for humankind with transparent processes that can lead to reaching over a billion more people than the next best option. Sounds great, and based on their robot abilities very possible!
Fast to become bot-battling masters, theTradeDesk group displayed an excellent array of skill and workpersonship during both the building phase and the battling phase of our Robot Battles 1 program.
Eighteen people split into four teams. The build times were close and very competitive. Team 36 built their robot fastest at 36 minutes and 51 seconds.
The remaining three teams finished within minutes, and then it was a hurry to the rooftops of windy downtown San Jose. Four robots in four corners were in position to then start the melee. Team 45 took the early lead, but lost out to Team 39 who claimed the title of Melee Champion. InĀ the Last-Bot Standing rounds of combat, theTradeDesk group had instant and effective strategies of survival that adapted to the rule changes.
After a few rounds, it all boiled down to the last battle, and then to the final two teams 44 and 39. It was a battle of wits and skill, they avoided each other’s needles as if it were choreographed, and the timer would soon decide their fate. As the clock ticked down, Team 39 was built strong and Team 44 sustained heavy damage to the arm, unable to pop the enemy balloon. But on their last balloon they ran away until the time hit 0:00. It was decidedly a tie. Sometimes not losing is a win, just like in English Premier League Soccer.
A huge thank you to theTradeDesk for a unique rooftop venue in San Jose, and for inviting us to work with your ultra talented media transforming squad!
