Virtual Painting Event
A Virtual Painting Event with Marvell was a huge hit allowing participants to enjoy a unique and different way to connect using Zoom. Virtual Painting by the Masters is a virtual team building designed to allow people to paint at home, and then upload and share with the team.
We sent each person at Marvell an individual box which included all of the supplies needed including a custom canvas unique for each person, a mini-easel, paint, paint brushes, and everything else required. For large groups we ship to regional distribution points rather than every individual.
“The Virtual Painting by the Masters event was an excellent diversion from our day to day routine and even our normal zoom happy hours. Each person received a very nice kit which included everything we needed to paint and enjoy the process, including a unique custom canvas for each person. We used Zoom to chat and paint and enjoy each other’s company. This was a great way to focus our creative energy on something besides work. The ending is a blast as you get to assemble all of the custom images into one mural online all at the same time to see your team creation. Then we will bring in the paintings to the office when we go back and hang them on our wall to remember this fun experience.”

The team expressed that the painting was fun and surprisingly required a pleasant but unexpected amount of concentration. Rather than distracting from the interactions, while painting they “zoned” into it, which made it feel almost meditative. It was a fun way to get together and connect. The painting brought a clarity to their focus, and a community to their thought.
Our in-house expert Libby helped the team to upload their completed images to an interactive online “board” where each person can move, rotate, and orientate, their own image, and the team as a whole can discover how they all come together! It was fun to see everybody’s work moving around before finally resting in the proper location to create one giant mural.
The Painting by the Masters event allows for asynchronous flexibility by allowing teams to meet, get oriented, and then complete their works of art together, or on their own schedule. A scheduled completion celebration meeting allows everyone to catch-up, post their paintings, and then move them around together to make the giant mural. Each group can pick or create a custom image, or we can provide images form our previous events to choose from.
