Customer Service Training County Employees for Madera County
Public Service is challenging for many reasons, one of those reasons is us – the public. Customer Service Training County Employees is a training program offered by TeamWorx that addresses the unique concerns of county employees, helps them to see what they are doing well, and helps them to improve both their customer service for the public and their own work satisfaction. In addition, counties often have difficult times recruiting younger employees such as Millennials because government guidelines and restrictions can often be less flexible than the private sector, and the pay is less. Nonetheless, counties like Madera strive to provide world class service. They asked us to deliver a one day training on improving customer service that involved examining new ways to overcome some of the challenges in place.
We worked in teams during the Customer Service Training County Employees and then came to agreement as a whole group on several “hot button” topics directly effecting customer service. We also delved into simple ways to connect to people quicker and easier over the phone and in person. We provided proven techniques and skills to improve communication and build trust with the audience they serve. At the end of Customer Service Training County Employees we set goals and assigned peer coaches to make everyone accountable and supported.
It was a great example of how our training can be utilized to provide huge value on a wide range of topics. We are able to draw meaningful knowledge and conversation out of an entire group and help them to reach the best solutions and get buy-in on the most pressing topics and concerns. Customer Service is something we must build from the bottom up while at the same time be supported from the very top down. A strategic approach that gets the entire county on the same page can bring dramatic improvement!
