School Makeover Palm Springs
School Makeover Palm Springs is a charity team building event that transforms a public school in 2 hours or less. Evolution Hospitality is a fast growing company that knows how to effectively manage hotels, clients, and employees through a unique set of values. I encourage anyone to visit their website and read a succinct, straight forward, and easily applicable list of company values including: “Make it better than it was before” “None of us is as good as all of us” and “Practice random acts of kindness.” They applied these values on February 28 2017 at Palm Desert Middle School in a TeamWorx School Makeover Palm Springs event.
Palm Desert Middle School is open to all students from anywhere in the greater Coachella Valley and is a public school. The only difference is they control and are responsible for their own budgets. So when we came knocking on their door with a crazy proposal to paint 2/3 of their school in two hours … they listened.
In a matter of three weeks from contract signing to finished school, TeamWorx partnered with the leadership at Palm Desert Middle School and the motivational and financial sponsors Evolution Hospitality to successfully paint over 600 linear feet of hallways, about the same amount of outdoor walls and classroom doors, over 40 columns and pillars, and the inside of the multi-purpose room with 25 foot ceilings!
For a School Makeover Palm Springs this one was fast in every way. Not only did we complete it in three weeks, but most of the crews from Evolution finished painting in less than 1 hour with no mistakes! You can tell caring about quality and efficiency is a core value at all of the hotels they manage. A huge thank you to all of the people involved from Evolution Hospitality including the 378 volunteers that painted perfectly in less than an hour!
