Netflix Robot Battles 2 Regale Winery Team Building
Regale Winery Team Building is enhanced by the spectacular views allotted the entire back outdoor area, and the feel of being somewhere high up and peaceful. We built and battled robots with Netflix on an outdoor terrace with shaded tables and a cooling breeze.
Transformers finished with a time of 59:30 (fifty nine minutes and thirty seconds) to take the best time champion. This left them 45 minutes to battle, plenty of time to beat the robot into complete submission. Teams Plucking Pheasants, Not a Clue, RoboGorgon, Ultimate Beastmasters, Not a Pun, Weathertight, and 18 Popcorns in a Bottle all completed robots in time to battle, however team Weathertight never truly got their robot to maximum operational levels.
The teams were focused and displayed great craftspersonship as – for the most part – they built bots that lasted over a half hour of intense battling!
The exceptions were quite a few wheels coming off or loose, including one that created a mesmerizing “real life .gif” as it circled endlessly, simply, methodically, and – in the air at Regale – shall I say gracefully.
One robot fell completely apart, opening up like a filleted fish and dropping its electronics like a bag of intestines. There were driving irregularities as wires were pulled and loosened, and wheels were distorted by smashing aircraft grade aluminum. Countless bolts, nuts, bushings, and other assorted parts had to be cleaned from the battle floor – a noble and exhilarating experience!
When the stone settled, and the wine had almost been finished, team Plucking Pheasants came out as clear battle champion. They amassed 28 points over one three battle stretch alone that put them solidly in the top spot. Every team scored numerous robot flips and popped balloons as the revved up Robot Battles 2 bots invite more action, more easily. Not a Pun put in one spectacular battle with an 11 point victory, but couldn’t find a second victory to chase Plucking Pheasants.
