Meta Mania Team Building
Meta Mania Team Building with four groups doing the Robot Team Building Activities in just over a week!
The first group was onsite at the MPK campus in Menlo Park in one of our favorite outdoor venues; the Pony Express room. The team that won, pictured upper right corner, finished in 39:55, almost 5 minutes faster than the average build time!
One notable part of this event was a unique modification we haven’t seen before to the robot attack arm (pictured lower left corner).
My observation was that this improved flipping and popping, and added a real distinct advantage for their bot. That being said, they did not win the last bot standing as balloons can be the equalizer, even with great innovation!
We had two simultaneous Robot Build and Battle 2 events as a part of Meta’s Virtual Security Summit. One group was in beautiful Bellevue, and the other was here in amazing Menlo Park.
The winning teams in each location finished only 20 seconds apart! The winning team in Bellevue (pictured upper left corner) finished with a great time of 50:25 (50 minutes and twenty-five seconds) and the winning team in Menlo Park finished with a time of 50:45! Both times are in our top 25 All-Time!
The Bellevue event had an amazing finale for the “last bot standing” battle. It ended with a spectacular “Double Flip” where one bot flipped two bots at the same time to secure the championship (pictured middle left)!
The final event was at our favorite bay are location, The Redwood Community Center! It offers floor to ceiling windows, easy free parking, a relaxed environment, and easy access. This event had amazing battles as the bots were built well and lasted for 6 rounds in a 20 minute fast battle agenda!
A huge thank you to Meta for inviting us back to work with so many talented teams building and battling robots!
