BBOT, LangChain, Google, Teambuilding
A BBOT, LangChain, Google Teambuilding barrage included talented people from a wide range of professional focus.
BBOT kicked off the tour with an exhilarating 100 person, 20 Robot, event in South San Francisco. All 20 teams made a functioning battle robot and lasted most of the battles. I counted 18 robots still standing for the finale, after 5 rounds of points based battles gave everyone a chance to battle. BBOT handled the pressure of a gigantic build competition well. Not surprising since they are used to saving lives!
The winning team (pictured above) built the robot in 33:50, placing them 76th All-Time! Almost all of the teams completed the robot before the first battle began, a true testament to the depth of capability present and accounted.
The battles were outstanding, with 18 to 20 robots on every battle! The excitement was off the charts, and the cheering roman coliseumesque! If you have the opportunity to bring one hundred or several hundred people together for robot battles, it is well worth it for the payoff of unique exhilaration!
Speaking of great events, we traveled to the prestigious Sonoma Fairmont to build and battle with LangChain. This was a very educational experience as LangChain is one of the companies adapting Ai to actual real world applications. They can help companies to use Ai to improve many aspects of their operations. Needless to say a very timely area of focus for a business to be in. Six teams competed to build our robot faster than each other. The winning team, pictured above, narrowly eclipsed three other teams to take the title. The battles were in front of the fire in a luxurious setting. All six robots survived to the finale with a thrilling robot flip to seal the championship!
Google jumped into the fray at their beautiful advertising campus in Mountain View next to the NASA Ames Research Center. We had three teams from two different departments blend together and become one group for the day. The robot event really enhanced this process as people naturally become teammates with the mission of building and the reward of battling! They displayed many impressive teamwork traits, including excellent in battle repair skills!
A huge thank you to all three companies for inviting us to build and battle robots with your talented and gracious employees!
