Color by Numbers Team Building with Pentel

We partnered with Pentel America to create a custom Color by Numbers team building featuring 14 of their products and over 30 colors. Pentel is a giant company based in Japan and selling pens in over 120 countries. Their vision is to “… create the tools that enable people everywhere to give form to their inner thoughts and feelings, and to cultivate the joy of expressing themselves.” Pentel makes pens and art products that are high quality, reusable, and fun to use and accessible to a large audience. The name “Pentel” is a combination of the English words “pen” and “tell” – as in, telling a story!

Over one hundred representatives from Pentel America, and some from Pentel Mexico and South America all attended a powerful 1 day meeting. As part of their day, they were energized by coloring individual canvasses in groups of 3 to 5 people each. Each team had a bag made of recycled material filled with Pentel pens that would be later donated to a local school art class. Each color on the team “canvas” has a bag filled with different options for using a Pentel product. For large areas pastels and paint pens worked best, while more detailed or nuanced colors were achieved through colored pencils, pens, and highlighters. Pastels can actually be mixed together similar to paint, creating new colors and allowing for the ultimate in colorful expression!

Once the canvasses were completed, the 32 teams worked together as a large group to figure out how they all come together. In this case it created two separate and stunning murals shown above!

We were so impressed with the final result of this event, and with how easy the products are to use and create quality final products, that we are launching a new event featuring Pentel products appropriately called “Color by the Masters.” We use the same technology and graphic design processes as we use in our Painting by the Masters program to turn your image into a giant mural – which is then divided into individual “canvasses.”

In Color by the Masters we substitute stunning Pentel colors and products for paint and paint brushes. As you can see above, the result is every bit as spectacular!
