Robot Battle Team Building at Facebook Yields World Record Build Time
We have been to 1 Hacker Way several times for the TeamWorx Robot Battle Team Building event. On August 10 2016 one of these programs yielded a new world record build time for the Robot Battle style competition with a build time of 51 minutes and 7 seconds. Facebook supplanted Intel who had held the record since July 15 2016 at 52:00 minutes.
Not all teams finished in under an hour however several competed for the world record right up to the last minute before one team pulled away and finished at 51:07. Three other teams came in just over 52 minutes showing how exceptional the Intel record was. Facebook appreciates the competition component of the Robot Battle Team Building event, both against each other and against other companies. It is a fun and creative way to measure your teamwork against the competition.
Several groups within Facebook have shared the event with their peers so they can try to break the record, and most importantly have a great time with robots.
“Thank you for for arranging such an entertaining event.
Yay! Like they say at Facebook, move fast & break things (records in this case!). All in all, it was a very engaging and exciting team event. We were all able to get our hands dirty with building something new and then just lay back and have fun! Working with you was so smooth and you definitely pumped up the atmosphere for our event. We’re glad we opted for TeamWorx!”
Each team customized the Robots for battle after completing the build competition. Many versions of defense were tested and applied to combat, some with success. Everyone had a chance to drive and compete, and battle against people from the other teams. One of the best features of the Robot Battle Team Building event is how a team must encourage and coach the people least familiar with operating a robot in order to have success. Often, it is how teams motivate and coach these teammates that gives one team the edge over overs in combat, and in the overall score.
Regardless if your team does great, sets a record, or simply enjoys each others company, everyone has a great time and many memories from building and battling robots together. We look forward to many more World Records being broken by future Facebook groups, and your team!
