Many of the people attending the whole company annual retreat work with robots on a daily basis, and everyone is familiar with robots, so the Robot Team Building San Francisco Bay Area event was put to the ultimate challenge.
Zymergen scheduled the Robot Team Building San Francisco Bay Area event over a three day period, beginning with our standard robot build and robot competitions, and then allowing the teams to change, adapt and personalize the robots to compete in their own customized team competition. The robots became the red-thread connecting the entire meeting, and offered each team virtually unlimited creative potential to modify and enhance the robots to compete in the craziest and most amazing competition we have seen yet. All types of personalities were engaged in designing, marketing, and presenting the robots.
Zymergen leveraged their talent and experience with robots to destroy the exiting World Record build time of 43 minutes and 8 seconds with a winning time of 32:07, more then ten minutes faster!
