Teamwork Training Sacramento CA
A Teamwork Training Sacramento CA event on the fifth floor of the 500 Capital Mall BMO building was a huge success!
We worked with the Fiscal Crisis Management Assistance Team from the state of California to provide an efficient way to help teammates get to know each other better, and to provide a fun experience that also improved teamwork.
We worked with our client to design a custom 4-hour outline that included exactly what she was looking for to maximize her ROI for the time they had to spend together.
The Client
The office of Fiscal Crisis Management Assistance Team has the same concerns as many state agencies and corporations as they navigate the post-pandemic stay at home work versus come to the office environment. The FCMA team has additional in-person challenges as they are responsible for school districts across the state and so are also geographically separated.
This Event – Client Needs
This event was a rare opportunity where senior leaders could interact in-person, build relationships, group problem solve, and in general, do what folks miss out on when they are not in the same office everyday together.
Our client was also concerned because of the difficult nature of their daily jobs, in so much as they are often investigating fraud, she wanted the day to be positive, fun, and uplifting, and overall a good experience.
“The group had a great time today. Thank you both for spending the time with us and for your expertise. It was a fantastic experience!”
Teamwork Training Agenda
TeamWorx designed an outline that met all of her benchmarks, and left room to pursue engaging topics going forward to continue the growth and fun.
In this case, we combined:
- A two-hour Build a Better Team teamwork training module with our
- Who Stole Anti-Matter, team building event.
In the first two hours we learned:
- Three team problem solving techniques and practiced using them
- How to get Buy-in and a practice session to experience how it works
- A Personality Assessment that takes 2-minutes and provides immediate value, and
- A powerful interactive technique to explore values and why they are vital to a high functioning workplace.
The second two hours involved applying the techniques we learned from the morning to a fun and highly interactive team activity.
Who Stole Anti-Matter challenges teams to:
- Use evidence to build a case against 1 of 4 suspects,
- Rule out suspects using evidence
- And, above all, – use evidence to make your case
Teams get to interrogate suspects live, and use evidence to break the suspects and get additional information.
The core of the event are the team conversations that highlight:
- Problem solving,
- Using facts/evidence to build a case,
- Understanding human nature,
- Using intuition, being persuasive,
- And many other high level professional adult characteristics of successful teammates.
A huge thank you to the Fiscal Crisis Management Assistance Team, and especially to Tami, for inviting us to join your team of talented leaders.
