DreamWorks Animation Robot Team Event
We all know DreamWorks is great at making animated movies, but did you know they are also great at building robots? We were thrilled to be invited to provide our Robot Team Event to Glendale to work with one of the preeminent animators of all time, and a little intimidated at first. The makers of Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar and others know their business! A Robot Team Event can take many forms and are usually customized to fit the schedule of our clients, and this event was no different. DreamWorks had about 3.5 hours as part of a whole day meeting to celebrate the essential role Technical Directors have in the animating process.’
DreamWorks had many options to choose from and selected the TeamWorx Robot Team Event because of it originality and the intrigue of working with robots. They began by building functioning robots as teams and in true DreamWorks style broke the existing World Record time and set a new mark of 43:09. We had plenty of time to allow teams to practice before each competition and hone their skills before competing. Teams competed in 7 different robot team competitions ending with a dramatic finale that included a Battlebot style Head-to-Head battle to determine the overall winning team.
In today’s world it is a an actual miracle to have a company officially endorse you; you have to be beyond exceptional. After our Robot Team Event DreamWorks went the extra mile to seek approval from legal and HR to provide the following glowing endorsement of the Robot Team Event:
