Corporate Scavenger Hunt in San Francisco with Atlassian
A Corporate Scavenger Hunt in San Francisco with Atlassian included Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, North Beach, the Embarcadero, China Town, the Transamerica Pyramid and Coit Tower. Over 200 people and 30 teams began at Pier 39 with tablets that contained the game software. Each team decided which route to pursue first, and an overall strategy to earn more points than the other teams. Teams could earn points discovering hidden and beautiful items within each area, and by taking interactive team pictures. All of the fun and creative pictures they took were uploaded for viewing at the finale at AT&T Park, and to view, share, and download on their mobile devices.
Along the way teams had two opportunities to raise money for Bessie Carmichael school which resides next door to the Atlassian San Francisco campus. By visiting Joe DiMaggio Playground and completing some challenging school yard tasks, and by throwing pizza Frisbees through accurately ten feet through a small hole in a supersized company logo (in gusty SF bay winds), they were able to raise over $5,000 for the school.
Atlassian is an incredibly creative company that offers a suite of software solutions that promote teamwork and better communication within companies. Their products range from internal blogs to entire accounting systems, all with a user friendly interconnected theme and experience. Our contact used their internal blog product to promote the corporate scavenger hunt in San Francisco – the TeamWorx Mobile Adventure. He was able to publish pictures, videos, and blogs to promote and describe the event, and he could interact with employees answering questions and creating customized participant lists. Once someone accepts the invitation they go into an automated communication list where they will receive important information leading up to the actual event. He was able to manage the logistics and promotion of the entire event from one software application.
