Las Vegas Robot Team Building Event with MGM
In a recent Las Vegas Robot Team Building Event with MGM we had a great time with the accounting group that oversees payroll of thousands of employees, and many other key functions well above my pay grade to fully understand. Like many industries accounting is going through a transformation using more robotic processes to replace manual ones. Robot team building is a great way to “meet” robots in a friendly and fun way – demystifying any anxiety about change and robotics.
Like many great companies MGM is improving efficiency through the implementation of robotics in many areas of their business including accounting. Robots can take all shapes and sizes. In their case the robotic improvements are within the computer, automated processes that help improve the efficiency and reliability of paying its most important assets! Talking informally with some of the participants you can quickly realize the immense responsibility they feel to get it right, and get it on time. Nobody likes it when payroll and other key accounting functions don’t go as planned.
The event proved once again proved that building robots in the robot team building event is for all types and professions not just engineers and tech people. The winning team pictured above came close to breaking the World Record and performed better than past World Records held by tech giants. With teamwork, leadership, attention to detail, effective and adaptable communication, and proactive planning and action, any team can beat the competition and compete for the World Record build time.
We are going back to MGM for a second event in September where they will have a second shot at putting MGM on the World Record robot build time.
Thank you to MGM for great hospitality as well. I found my new favorite place to stay – the Signature at MGM – quiet, well appointed rooms with balconies and views of the strip, and a peaceful lobby and secured inner courtyard feeling that protects one from Vegas in our down time.Perfect!Robot Team Building
