Cisco Team Building with Robot Battles
A Cisco Team Building event onsite in San Jose at their sprawling campus was a huge hit. This team worked on a diagnostic app for apps – App not working right? They can tell you why and how to fix it! You could tell they were good at diagnosing problems as their QC skills were unparalleled throughout the event.
We had three teams of talented battlers and builders named: MisFits, AutoBots, and No Deal Brexit
No Deal Brexit won the build competition with a scorching time – faster than a router – at 32:35 (thirty two minutes and thirty five seconds) putting them safely in the top 5% of all builders!
AutoBots finished second in the build competition with an impressive time of 38:45 (thirty eight minutes and forty five seconds).
The MisFits and AutoBots – not happy being non-winners in the build competition – took it to the battle carpet and posted impressive battle victories. Misfits came out strong and won the first all-bot melee followed by AutoBots winning the second contest. The most exciting melee was the final one. At one time we had five teams competing with a scoreboard of 9, 9, 8, 8, 4 (going to 10) before a thrilling “photo” finish where I had to be the referee (dreaded – not good).
Luckily I was paying close attention as we were all gripped with anticipation awaiting the outcome. We all heard a loud pop and then almost immediately afterwards a dramatic flipped robot putting AutoBots at 12 points but – just behind the MisFits who popped the balloon fist giving them 10 points before the robot flip!
Easily in the top 5 all-time of robot melee finishes and the perfect way to wrap up an action packed and competitive onsite team building event.
