Who Stole Anti Matter Team Event with Bain and Company
It was a cold and snowy morning in the Boston Seaport District that featured a Who Stole Anti Matter Team Event where investigative teams from Bain and Company– a global consultancy that helps the world’s most ambitious change makers – saved world financial markets. They gathered at the Westin Boston Seaport to be briefed on the “impending investment crisis.” No this was not a real investment crisis, just part of the team building exercise designed to elicit collaborative problem-solving and consensus building on identifying the correct suspect and Who Stole the Antimatter?
In the initial investigative brief to the six Bain and Company teams, TeamWorx CHIEF Jeff Glover identified a serious breach in the MatterMatters Inc security protocol and the theft of the highly valuable Antimatter. As the story goes, Bain invested heavily in the company and these six teams of investigators were tasked with identifying which of the four suspects stole the Antimatter and recovering the Antimatter, or face serious investment ramifications.
The six Bain and Company investigative teams quickly got to work identifying evidence and picking up on interrogation techniques to grill the four suspects, graciously played by Bain staff Mike (Ethan), Lisa (Rolph), Ali (Vivian), and Molly (Dominique).
The six teams, Ace Detectives, Team Stripes, Cameron San Francisco, Inspector Bain, Crime Stoppers, and the True Training Detectives all identified lead investigators and divided the evidence to process. As teams methodically collected evidence and organized their findings on their respective suspect charts, teams also sent out interrogation investigators in the hopes of catching a suspect in an obvious lie. In the end, each team had to identify a suspect as the one true thief, present their case to their peers, and hope that they got it right. Out of six teams, all four of the suspects were fingered as the prime suspect but only one was correct. Presenting last, the Ace Detectives correctly identified the guilty suspect (name withheld) and gave their most compelling presentation. Thankfully one team saved Bain and Company from epic investment losses by apprehending the suspect and recovering the precious Antimatter before it went on the black market!
