Altium Sets “unofficial” Record in Munich International Robot Team Event
Altium capped off a great partnership with TeamWorx by delivering an International Robot Team Event in Munich. We trained their staff here in San Diego and then delivered Altium Live together for over 200 people nearby. Altium took the reins and shipped our robot kits to Munich where they delivered the second half of Altium Live to perfection. We had an unofficial record set for the “BattleBot” style robot battles robot at just over 22 minutes. The time was unofficial because we did not have a TeamWorx staff onsite to verify, however no less impressive:
“We had another great event, and I’ll have pics to share later. A team shattered the record at 22 minutes and change!! Leave it to a group of German engineers. Just thought you would enjoy hearing about it … Thanks much for your support, and a great program!” – Altium
Perhaps the best part of the entire event was the donation of the robot kits used in the program to local robot clubs in San Diego and in Munich! Altium made a huge difference in the support of STEM education in challenging neighborhoods – a shared passion for both Altium and TeamWorx!
We were able to create a unique partnership that allowed Altium to put on an International Robot Team Event without the expense of sending TeamWorx overseas. For companies that have multiple events in one or several other countries, including the United States, this model allows for our exceptional event to be transported worldwide at minimum expense. In addition, if you donate the kits in each country there is no return expense or customs hassles, and you can empower every local community you engage to be better prepared in STEM education – specifically with robots!
A huge thank you to Altium for investing in the future of young people and in STEM focused educational opportunities!
