Sandcastle Building and Robots
Sandcastle building and robots dominated our mid-June to mid-July schedule, with events stretching from Meta’s headquarters to Las Vegas and the beach. Meta hosted five Robot Build and Battle events and one giant Robot Racing event, CreditOne brought together 60 people for a Robot Build and Battle competition in Las Vegas, and Sequoia Living treated its VIPs to a day of sandcastle building.
Meta kept the robots busy throughout the month. Five different groups took on our Robot Build and Battle challenge, working in teams to assemble their robots as quickly as possible before modifying their attack arms and entering the battle arena. Each event brought a different mix of creativity, engineering, strategy, and friendly competition.
Meta also hosted a giant Robot Racing event. Instead of battling for survival, teams built and customized their robots for speed, control, and performance. Once construction was complete, participants moved to the course, where teamwork and driving skill became just as important as the original design.
Credit One welcomed TeamWorx to Las Vegas for a Robot Build and Battle event for 60 people, most of whom were interns. The participants jumped into the experience, learning how the different robot components worked while racing against the other teams to complete their builds. They also created some memorable customized robots before testing their designs in battle. The event gave the interns a fun way to connect, solve problems together, and build relationships outside their normal work environment.
Sequoia Living changed the scenery with a Sandcastle Building event for its VIPs. Teams gathered on the beach and transformed ordinary piles of sand into creative sculptures. The relaxed oceanfront setting still produced plenty of collaboration and competition as participants planned their designs, divided responsibilities, and worked together to bring their ideas to life.
From robots racing and battling indoors to teams building in the sand, the month offered a great reminder that successful team building can take many different forms.
