Team Event for Sales People
Texas Air Systems sparked enthusiasm and ignited competition at their annual sales retreat with a Team Event for Sales People! HVAC sales people like at Texas Air Systems or any type of competitive salesperson will love battling each other with robots. First they get to compete at working together as a team by building a robot together faster than the other teams. Once completed, they bash into each other and try to out wit and strategize while taking damage from the “attack arm.”
Robot battles are just like sales, its critical to have a plan for each client, but even the best laid plans are comprised under pressure and require quick thinking and adapting to win the business! With Robot Battles the team will get better with each battle by learning and adapting. Teams practice and create strategy before each battle, but ultimately its tough to think clearly when your robot is getting bashed by the attack arm or upended in flip maneuver.
The event also encourages cheering and encouragement as teams are only as good as their weakest link! Each person must battle in every competition so everyone matters in the final team result.
Texas Air Systems hosted a 24 team round robin tournament that featured a 3 team “all-bot melee” for the champion. Everyone battled several times, and for the championship each team got to select their best driver. These drivers received immediate “rock star” status among the crowd as they battled for the outright champions trophy!
About 200 people competed making for a rambunctious and lively atmosphere with periodic cheering coming from all reaches of the ballroom. The final was packed with supporters for each of the three final contestants yelling wildly until a climactic champion was crowned!
