NVIDIA Robot Build Battle
An NVIDIA Robot Build Battle team building in Redwood City was a huge success. Five teams competed to build the robot faster than each other and for the World Record. NVIDIA knows about being fast, as they are responsible for powering much of the fast thinking behind our favorite Ai buddies.
We were battling in no time as teams raced to complete the robots and succeeded in building well performing and quick-twitch robot battlers. This is usually from expert wiring and attention to detail on the drivetrain and electronics.
The battles didn’t disappoint, with 5 great rounds of robot smashing and skill, and battles that got the crowd riled up and yelling and cheering! It’s always a great day at the Redwood City Community Center where parking is easy, the mood is relaxed, and the windows offer refreshing sunshine.
Congratulations to NVIDIA for rocking the robot build and battle event! No surprise as they are basically the rockstar of the tech world right now, and not the “one-hit wonder” kind. More like the band that accidentally invents a whole new genre and then dominates it.
What makes NVIDIA so ridiculously good? First, they didn’t just ride the AI wave, they built the surfboard, the ocean, and half the weather system. Their GPUs, originally designed for gaming, turned out to be perfect for powering artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data centers. That pivot? Pure genius.
Second, leadership. Jensen Huang isn’t your typical CEO in a gray suit, he’s part visionary, part engineer, part “I saw this coming 10 years ago.” He’s played the long game while others were still figuring out the rules.
Third, execution. It’s one thing to have a big idea; it’s another to actually deliver. NVIDIA consistently ships insanely powerful chips that companies like OpenAI, Tesla, and basically everyone building AI rely on.
And finally, timing. They positioned themselves at the exact intersection of gaming, AI, and cloud computing. That’s not luck. That’s strategic brilliance.
In short: NVIDIA didn’t just join the future, they showed up early and started building it.
A huge thank you to NVIDIA for bringing us back for another incredible event!
